Tea for a Cough

When our son came home from 2+ years overseas, he came back with a small, irritating, cough. After researching my Healing Spices book, I concocted this recipe, which has proven most helpful as well as delicious.

Place in saucepan:

1 qt. water
1 T cloves (whole)
2 tsp anise seed
1 tsp cardamom

Bring to boil, then simmer 40 minutes to 2 hours.
Strain.
Add milk/almond milk and unsweetened cocoa if desired.
Reboil.
Add sweetener to taste. (I like to use homemade Stevia water.)
Pour and enjoy.

Happy New Year!

To create your own Word Cloud, visit http://worditout.com/.

We spent New Year's day with our friends. My heart was full of thanksgiving as I listened to Tomo share with a few people from the Scriptures--and his heart. I am continually amazed at the transformation God has done in him. How incredible that I actually desired to be with my husband because God has placed His love in our hearts. We both know that it hasn't always been this way. He was a prideful, egotistical workaholic who seldom acknowledged any of his family members. But, I wanted to love him and I knew a great big God who could do anything. And He did. Yesterday I watched a changed man share the Word of God from his heart. I am thankful that I did not give up when things looked so dismal.

How about you my friend? What obstacles are you facing in your life today? Are you willing to allow God to make His imprint on your life? Our God is able--only believe! Note: When you are cooperating with the Lord, it generally takes a long time.
